Deltaville Diversions – Williamsburg

5/8/22

Colonial Williamsburg is about an hour away from Deltaville so we headed off to see this well preserved colonial museum. The town is over a mile long and many of the buildings are original, others were rebuilt (on the original foundations)in the 1930s. The docents are dressed in period attire and random demonstrations of colonial life occur throughout the day. Lots to see during a day that wasn’t very crowded. Some of the exhibits and eateries were just opening up from covid restrictions. Some people had masks on, but the majority did not. We have felt the need to put masks on only a few times.

We enjoyed a day without rain…first in many days….and it was not too windy here. A good break from it.
